Exchange and Office Update: New Resources!

50 iPhone emails! Yikes!

Colleagues,

The migration project continues!

At this point, the team is in the process of moving accounts within the Technology Development Department.

The plan is to complete the conversion by August 16. In the days prior to the conversion for each department, we will send out a message so that you are kept in the loop about the change.

If you’d like to get more familiar with Outlook, please check out some new resources in eduphoria!

The District has purchased a series of “cheat sheets” that you can use to familiarize yourself with the functions of Outlook, which will be the District’s new email program, as well as other programs in the Office 2007 suite. Log in to eduphoria!, select Help Desk, and select the Knowledge Base tab. (A provision of our licensing agreement requires that we post these guides in a password protected location.)

We thank Jan North and her Instructional Technology team for carefully reviewing available options and selecting this product. We think that you’ll find this set of reference sheets a valuable resource.

For users who want a more personalized training experience, we will offer other options . . . such as online and/or face-to-face classes during the coming year.

We expect to upgrade student and teacher computers to Office 2007 during this process. Computers in administrative areas may not be suitable for this upgrade due to their system specifications.

Will upgrades for Office 2007 be available for the TTCC computers as well?

    • Yes, upgrades to 2007 are available for TTCC laptops. It’s a bit more challenging project to complete logistically. We may put out the call for TTCC winners to arrange an appointment as we did when Office 2003 was installed on their laptops last year. We’re open to suggestions.
