Important: Teacher Computers

 

We look forward to welcoming teachers back to work tomorrow. We know that many have been at work for quite a while already. 🙂

Earlier today, we sent out important information about teacher computers on each campus through the District’s email system.

Here’s the story:

Throughout the summer, the Department has been reconfiguring teacher and staff computers at Phase I and II campuses across the District to work with the new Microsoft system and installing software upgrades. (Nearly all Phase III campuses will be upgraded when computers are replaced later this month.)

Directions related to these upgrades were sent to all teachers and campus administrators earlier today. You can access this message through mail.misdmail.org.

The most important item is that if you see a note that indicates that your computer was not present or ready to be worked on when the crew was at your school, please connect your computer to the network, power it on, and call the Help Desk at 817.299.4357 between 7:00 AM and 4:30 PM.

We expect heavy call volume on the Help Desk tomorrow and have reallocated staff to help meet your needs. Please let us know how we can help you.

    When I checked last week, I did not have a teacher computer. I’m taking on a tech apps class that did not exist last year, hence the lack of a teacher computer. Should I use my TTCC laptop as a teacher computer at this point in time?
