You may recall that the District initiated a pilot of the Cisco Unified Presence Client at T.A. Howard and Summit High School two weeks prior to the end of the school year.
This software enables use of the computer as a telephone with the District’s phone system.
We didn’t have much time to get the system up and running last spring. The system was disabled temporarily during the Microsoft migration.
The good news is that it is back up, and we’re ready to resume the pilot.
We’re looking for a few particpants in the original pilot at Howard to try it. Summit teachers may require reinstallation of the software due to reimaging.
Teachers at Howard should only need to make sure that the USB headphones supplied last year are connected to their computers, start them up, login, open the Outlook client (not web mail), and use the CUP-C toolbar within the program to make calls.
You use the same username and password that was used last year.
