image

Grover Daly, a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with Promethean, braved the elements to conduct a series of tests on classroom equipment in MISD today. Efforts to address problems with equipment losing connectivity will continue until they are resolved. These problems affect approximately 50 classrooms.

Using information gathered during this visit, Daly and his team will continue to research ways to resolve these problems.

I would like for him to visit the 2 labs at Willie Brown and determine if the best location for the computer is right. I’ve had several teachers, plus myself, who would like for the connecting computer to be changed so it is closer to the board and on the same side of the room.

    • Debbie, thanks for posting. This engineer is in the District to fix equipment that is not functioning, not to evaluate equipment placement. A District team developed the standard for equipment placement based on availability of network drops and electrical outlets, as well as the need to avoid obstacles such as sprinklers, smoke detectors, and overhead lights. As a result, we don’t have plans to move equipment. Please email me about your specific situation.
