Update: Office on Repurposed Student Computers
We are accepting requests for installation of MS Office on repurposed computers through the Eduphoria Helpdesk work order system in order to collect information about locations where the software is needed.
Initial observations indicate that repurposed computers in classrooms, including those with Office installed, are used most frequently as centers featuring websites such as Starfall or for programs such as Reading Counts and Accelerated Reader.
Please complete a work order if you have repurposed computers on which you need Microsoft Office. We are investigating some licensing options from Microsoft that may provide both access to Office and significant cost savings. This process will take time. Because this is a long-term project, work orders will be closed as the information is compiled. Installation may be a summer project.
Remember that your computer name is needed for your work order.
Right-click on the “My Computer” icon on your desktop.
Select the “Computer Name” tab. Your computer name is listed as “Full Computer Name.” For your computer to continue functioning, it is important that you not change its name for any reason. Please just note your computer’s name and include it in the work order.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation and support!
