Password Reset Self-Serve Option Debuts in MISD!
When you forget your password or it expires over a break, you return to work without the tools needed to do your job.
Regaining access to your computer consumes valuable time, because the Help Desk is swamped with hundreds of calls from other customers experiencing the same problem.
Here’s the good news!
We are in the process of adding a service that will enable all staff members to set up security questions and answers so that they can reset their own passwords as needed.
This is a service that is similar to what you may have used to reset passwords for other popular web sites.
We tentatively plan to ask teachers and campus-based staff members to answer a couple of questions using a web-based interface before going off-duty so that they can reset their passwords on their own in the future.
We’re considering adding this to the end of year technology checklist, too.
