Free App Enables use of iPads and iTouches as Clickers!

Yes, that’s right!

One of the most popular pieces of instructional technology has been student response systems, also known as “clickers.” Teachers ask questions, and students respond by pressing a key or typing an answer.

Our feedback from teachers suggests that using a student response system is a great way to collect information on the fly about how well students are grasping the material. Teachers report that clickers also help to keep kids engaged.

The EdTech Trainers have been testing several different apps, both paid and free, that provide that same function using iPads and iTouches.

Socrative, a free app, has proven to be the most reliable.

We know that your thoughts may be focused on finishing up at school, so we’ll plan on sending this out again in August.
