Teachers Complete Prep Steps in Advance, Sail through Deployment Process

At today’s iPad setup sessions, many Mansfield ISD teachers came prepared, completed the setup process, and left with their iPads (some in less than thirty minutes).

“When you have your paperwork completed, your iTunes account set up, and your password memorized, you finish quickly and go home happy,” one participant observed.

“That was easy!” another said.

Technology was there to issue the iPads with a BIG smile on their faces. They were patient and very helpful. It was an enjoyable and painless process. Thanks so much to our district for this investment in teachers and students. Way to go MISD! (sent from my new iPad)

I recently discovered the iPad does not include a calculator app like the iPhones do. Is there a district recommended app to replace the calculator? I know there are many available in the App Store, but not setting a standard for teachers and students opens the door to lost time learning how each individual calculator app works. Thanks.

    • There is no district standard for a calculator app, currently. Please share your ideas about the calculator apps you find most valuable.
